Points are awarded based on placings in division classes and equitation classes. Points will follow riders and it is not required that a rider compete on the same horse each show.

If there are fewer than three entries for a class, 50% of points are awarded.

Participation in any Sunday classes (Classics, Derby, Eq Challenge, Stake) will result in 25% more points towards the rider's points in all classes from Friday or Saturday.

To receive a year-end award, the rider must have competed in all 3 shows for the year. The rider does not have to compete in the same classes, or on the same horse. If a rider does not compete at all 3 ExEL shows in the year they will not appear on the points list.
