The Connaway & Associates Sportsmanship Award was founded in 2024 and is awarded at ExEL events to a competitor deemed to have shown outstanding sportsmanship throughout the competition, both on and off the field of play. The award — which is decided by a panel of judges — celebrates those whose positivity, humility, support for others, and love of their horse shines through at ExEL. ​
